At Home in Utopia with Triangle: Remembering the Fire

Presented by Toronto Jewish Film Society

Sunday, October 14 -  4:00pm and 7:30pm

At Home in Utopia documents a community of immigrant Jewish workers coming together in the 1920s to build a cooperative housing complex founded on socialist ideals.

On March 25, 1911, a catastrophic fire broke out at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York City, killing 146 women. Triangle, the documentary, was produced to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the disaster that forever changed the lives of millions of American workers.
Guest Speaker: Professor Ester Reiter
Co-presenter: United Jewish People’s Order (Toronto)
